Lae
Lae is an energetic young spirit guide in the the village Haichenja. She frequently explores the old ruins in the jungle which has led to her curiosity about what happened in the past. She is eager to learn from Silas who knows a long forgotten history.
Silas
A ghost Lae met deep in the forest. She's the only one who can see him. Silas has been in the woods for a very long time and wants to know how the world has changed. He can go through solid objects no problem and helps Lae by scouting.
Bijan
Lae's guardian and general advisor to the people of Haichenja. His knowledge and social connections are unusual for someone living so far from the plains. An old injury prevents him from doing much.
Paka
This sweet girl is a little clueless about the jungle but learns quickly to respect its terrible magic. Paka is from the the village Eska on the plains.
